Requirements
Chiropractor Role
Perform clinical assessments, set goals, develop treatment/rehabilitative plans and provide safe, effective and appropriate interventions.
Provide on-going evaluation of patients with respect to treatment plan progression, return to work planning, updating functional abilities and case management with respect to best practice injury management.
Perform high-quality treatments with a complete focus on the client, including adjustments, alignments, physical therapy, rehabilitation, soft tissue, and other chiropractic modalities.
May also provide additional modalities such as: acupuncture, custom orthotics, and compression.
Assess, diagnose, treat and recommend options to relieve pain, restore mobility and prevent reoccurrence so clients can lead healthy active lives.
Recommend treatment and rehabilitation plans and home care based on individual needs.
Provide service in accordance with regulations set out by Provincial College/Association and inline with Professional Liability Insurance restrictions.
Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
Order and interpret results of diagnostic imaging procedures.
Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals.
Maintain patient medical records (using Oak Medical Arts electronic medical record).
